Using battery operated lights saved a lot of time and money for the 150 person Christmas Party at Paradise Valley. The greenery and flowers were donated by the Orinda Garden Club. Big thank you!! Without the amaryllis flowers, we would have missed out on a much need pop of red 2-3 feet high on the tables.
Each person received an etched glass, lindon candies and of course a festive candy cane as the napkin ring. Details like this make such a difference! At every event it is important for the guests to feel welcomed and special. A simple gift at a place setting is like saying "thank you for coming."
For squadron events like this we try to stay on a tight budget. Dollar Tree has candy canes in boxes of 12 every year around Christmas time. This allowed us to only spend a little over $0.08 per person for an extra touch of red on the napkins.
