We worked long and hard on this table. Most of the animals came from HomeGoods. The tiny trees were only $3 at Target and the rest we pieced together from multiple locations including Lazy K's and Pier 1 Imports again. The snow and lights we had from last year!
There have been a few slight changes...specifically to the mantle area in the background. We will post updated photos soon!
It doesn't matter what age you are...birthdays are so fun and we got creative for this 32ND birthday! Everything we used is from Rite Aid and only cost around $50.00. Here are some pictures to show how I used tissue paper to make different types of flowers and a fringe garland!
Every year our family comes together for a big gathering on Christmas Eve. Our theme last year was a Winter Wonderland with lots of white and starry twinkle lights. This year we went in a completely different direction! We decided to make our tree and tablescape rustic.
For the tree, we used burlap curls from Pier 1 Imports and found real cotton garland at Lazy Ks in Lafayette, CA. I have shown a few different pictures of the tree. We spent a few hours putting lights on the tree before starting with trimmings. The lighting makes a HUGE difference so take your time and make sure you buy enough strands of lights.
Here are some pictures of the process...we like to play around with scale and texture until we are satisfied. It is a lot of fun working as a team and bringing together all of our creative ideas!
Discussing the positioning of the burlap curls!
You can see why adding a lot of lights makes a big difference. Especially on a tree this size!
